Murder at Supper

The most recent game Nicole worked on was Murder at Supper, in which she was a Lead Developer and Project Manager.

Story Overview

Murder at Supper puts a comedic and charming spin on murder mysteries. The story surrounds Geoffrey, an elderly, retired engineer who lives alone in a mansion, accompanied only by a family of robots he created to take care of him. One day, Geoffrey dies suddenly! Players assume the role of P.A.M. (Geoffrey’s Personal Assistant Machine), the lone robot on a mission to solve the untimely death of their beloved father.

Red Flags

(Jan – Feb 2024)

In her sophomore year, Nicole participated in the 2024 Global Game Jam. She collaborated in a group setting to develop an absurdist, comedic dating simulator titled Red Flags. The game can be downloaded for free (for Windows) on Itch.io.

Story Overview

You’re a grad student burdened with debt, and in a desperate attempt to keep the lights on, you opt for an unconventional method: going on dinner dates with rich men who will cover the check. The men, however, are some of the most outlandish playboys out there. And the only way to get what you want is to match their level of weirdness. So, throw on a nice outfit, fake a semi-convincing smile, and get ready to redefine “freaky” romance.

The Organ Trail

A subtle nod to the classic computer game, The Organ Trail is a 3D walking simulator that simulates In her sophomore year, Nicole participated in the 2024 Global Game Jam. Story Overview

After an untimely death, the player finds themselves transported to a subliminal realm. Guided along a neural path, they interact with their organs to uncover the truth about their passing, and if it’s too late to reverse it.

Brushbound

(March – Apr 2024)

In March of last year, Nicole wrote, designed, and coded a visual novel titled Brushbound.

Story Overview

Long ago, a genius named Leonardo da Vinci revolutionized mankind’s approach to innovation as a whole. One day, though, he died. This is not his story. This tumultuous tale is about another Leo: an average artist on a peaceful prairie ranch. One stormy evening, as he paints a tornado in the eye of a storm, lightning strikes, infusing his tools with magic. Now, everything he paints comes to life. Chaos ensues when a portal is opened to another dimension, unleashing an art thief that steals one of Leo’s enchanted brushes. Leo must take down the art thief before the art thief conquers the world.

Heist Crisis

(Mar – May 2023)

In her first year of college, Nicole wrote, designed, and coded a Python-based adventure game titled Heist Crisis.

Story Overview

A thrilling and comedic twist on a classic tale of thievery, Heist Crisis is an RPG following a stealthy money heist gone wrong. After the alarms are tripped on the main character’s exit, they must now break *out* of the bank by navigating from the vault to the rooftop, where the escape helicopter awaits. Use the money from the vault to buy weapons, tools, and gadgets to avoid capture.

What started as a class project quickly evolved into an RPG storyline of its own. She wrote and designed the game, developing visuals out of ASCII art in a notepad application.
